Obsidian Security today announced it has achieved Silver-tier status in the new Databricks Brickbuilder Partner Network, launched September 1, 2026. Obsidian is one of only two security partners to reach Silver or above and the only SaaS, identity, and AI-agent security vendor to do so.

The Databricks Data + AI Platform provides an open, governed foundation for enterprise data and AI, including the AI applications and agents organizations are building and deploying at scale. Obsidian is the third-party app, identity, and AI-agent security layer for it. Reaching Silver isn't a badge, its confirmation, backed by Databricks' own evaluation, that the integration works at production scale.
Databricks scored partners across five pillars: Impact, Technical Excellence, Strategic Alignment, Readiness, and GTM & Co-Sell. Obsidian is also one of the few partners validated across all three Databricks integration paths — Built-On, Connected, and Data, where most partners validate on just one. And it's a rare mix: Obsidian's logo now sits in Databricks' own announcement alongside Salesforce, NVIDIA, Moody's, and S&P Global.
Security and data teams have historically worked in silos, and third-party apps and AI agents have become the SOC's blind spot. Obsidian closes that gap by streaming identity, OAuth, and AI-agent telemetry directly into a customer's Lakehouse and Lakewatch via OpenSharing — no ETL pipelines, no coverage gaps.
It also compresses vendor vetting. Databricks has already done the diligence: Silver-tier status means Obsidian meets its bar for architecture, security, and compliance across all three integration paths, so joint customers spend less time vetting and more time building.
And it brings data and security teams into a single, governed motion — Databricks and Obsidian securing identity, data, and AI agents together, with aligned field teams behind it.Together, this helps enterprises bring security telemetry alongside governed data and AI so they can secure agentic AI without creating another data silo.
